My little projects...
I finally finished Oakley's blanket that matches her crib bedding I made. Don't worry it only took me a YEAR and I still need to do just a couple final stitches. However, It's pretty much done and I love the way it turned out. Yes, I should have ironed it before taking the picture but come on who really does that any more... I also made that cute magnet board for her room. It was so much fun being creative, I have not done that in a really long time.

Bring on the New Year!
Ok, so we all know every new year we make goals that we would like to do all year but most the time we only accomplish them for the first two maybe three months. Then we are back to the same place we were last year. Ok, well maybe your not as bad as me but this year I decided I'm going to actually do some things and finish them out. In order to do that I have serious deadlines and just a couple good goals. I'll get to those in a minute. First, I have to give thanks to the wonderful 2009 year. It was a success! I survived the birth of my beautiful, healthy baby girl. Well, that is about all I accomplished, so moving on.... just kidding. We had a great year. Just because we had our first baby that did not slow us down. We went to Las Vegas, Bear Lake, Yellow Stone, and the cabin this past summer. I got one more class behind me in school. (moving slowly but still moving) and the best thing of all was the week before Christmas I quite my job to be a Mommy!!!! I know me quiting my job. Trust me it was a really big step and a lot harder than I thought it would be. I love working, but my heart was pulling me home and well what can you do. So needless to say 2009 was a great year and I loved it.
Bring on the New Year!!!!
We'll here we are 2010 and the world is not over yet. I have big expectations this year. So much that I'm kind of scared of myself. Here are my goals and I guess you can see if I accomplish them seems how I'm posting them for the hole world to see. I figured maybe that would help me actually follow through and finish what I start. Well here they are...
1.) Finish my photography website (January) It's nothing amazing but definitely a start.
2.) Finish the Book of Mormon by Oakley's first birthday. (April)
3.) I just signed up for a half MARATHON. (June) yes, I know I'm crazy... I'm not in shape like you Madi, I went to the gym on Monday for the first time in aaaaaa 2 years. This goal scares the pants off me but I'll be sooo excited if I make it. So, anyone that wants to join in on my pain come on we can do it together!
4.) I may have decided what to go into for school. It's only taken me 6 years of playin' around to decide and I'm still not even that sure. Graphic Design... or .... Elementary Ed.... so for goal #4 it's back to school full time this summer or in the fall. (August) Makell I need to talk with you!
5.) I want to be an all around better person. A better friend that you can count on, a better wife and cook. A better mom, daughter and neighbor. As the years go on I always find myself thinking more about me and less about others. This year I want to think about others and less about myself. I want to stand taller at the end of the year because I know I accomplished my goals and I helps someone else along the way. So to you my family and friends just know that I love you, I care about you and I want to be a bigger part of your life this year.

Oakley
My little stink bug will be 9 months next week. Can you say holy cow time flies. I can not get enough of her she is such a blast to have around. She definitely thinks she's big. I just want to give you an update on just how big she is. Oakley can crawl up and down stairs. It's so cute we taught her how to turn-around and she does. She pulls her self up against everything and walk along the furniture. I'd say her favorite is walking along the tub until she gets to the end, then she pulls the shower curtain back and just smiles at me. Trust me when your a parent you really can't go to the bathroom without an audience. She says mom and dad and I'm teaching her some words in sign language and she's used the sign for more a couple times. I can't believe how fast she learns. hopefully I'll get some updated pictures on here next week.
December 2009
2009 is here and gone along with Christmas. Christmas was so much fun with a little one around. I know she's only 9 months and doesn't understand the true spirit of Christmas but she will soon enough. On Christmas morning I took little Miss Oakley to the family room where Santa had left a cute pink pony under the tree. I set her on the floor and she crawled as fast as she could and started playing with it. There is nothing better in this world than to be married in the temple to an awesome man and be a mom. Truely those are the things this life is all about. They bring me so much happiness. I love them so much. The laughter they bring me every day is better than any gold. Oakley has one strong personality, she is absolutely hilarious and so stinkin' smart too.

Our little Family
Happy Halloween
