Christmas.......

Christmas is my very favorite time of the year. LOVE LOVE it... Here is Oakley helping put up the Christmas tree. Love her.

Well, I know your all waiting for an update. As of right now, today we will not be moving to chile. So you can all stop crying.... :) The company just moved two guys down there last week and they are working things out with them so they don't need us down there right now. Hopefully, in the future but we are not putting any money on it. Caz and I were really excited for this new adventure and I already have Oakley's passports back. For now we will enjoy are family and friends. Some day we will spread our wings and do something extreme! Today we are needed here!

Happy Halloween

DORKS!!! Yes, I know! Caz and I got out our good old High School goods for Halloween. It was actually kid of fun. I even got to wear his High School ring on my necklace. HAhaha.... we totally ROCK!

Good Times

Good old College roommates. I'm so excited Madi and Audrey are both prego with girls! That is so nice and refreshing because all of mine and Caz's friends have one or two BOYS. Not that I don't completely love boys or anything ( I hope to have one someday) but Oakley could use some girl friends... I can't wait to take pictures of Presley and Lula... HAHA Audrey.. I totally vote on the name Presley!

Simple Life

Today it hit me like a ton of bricks as I edited photographs. I'm so grateful for the simple things in my life. Just a glance from Oakley can melt your heart or make you laugh so hard you cry. Three kids in the tub, just being kids! The wind running through your hair reminding you your alive. I don't know why in this moment my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. Maybe because Oakley is actually taking a nap today or the sent of life is in the air. Whatever it may be I'm grateful.

We go through life always getting advice of "enjoy the simple things" but do we really ever take it in. Most the time I feel like life lives me when it should be the other way around. So today I'm going to stop, breathe and notice something I haven't before. I'm going to enjoy every second with my baby laughing and crying together. I'm going to kiss my Husband as if it's the first time today. I'm going to walk outside with my hair down and shoes off. I'm going to live life today.

This is my life twice a week and I LOVE these three kids!

Girls in Vegas

Us girls went to Vegas without husbands, boyfriends or any kids it was so great. We had a blast sitting by the pool, doing a LOT of shopping, going to a show and eating great food. We laughed our butts off over our "new hair." It was so fun being with my sisters/best friends and spending time together. Love you girls!

I made it, we made it. The months of training finally paid off. I ran the whole time which is exactly what I wanted to do. My cute husband was at the finish line matching me. Oh, picture perfect.

From the Journal

15 months has passed as sand in a hour glass. Personality has grown as a firing, red, rose. My baby a page ago was fresh and green. She grew as fast as you turning the page it seems. As I look at her I see a fire burn, her personality deep. She notices details and learns at an extreme speed. With her honey colored hair that grows straight forward and hangs in her face you can see she'll be faithful. Though the back is full of spiralling curls that exenturates her fun, crazy personality she is one much like the woman that gave her life. this little ball of energy has hazel eyes with shades of gray. look close enough and you'll get lost in the mesmerizing glow they have. you may even experience a land of imagination. How tinny she is, so small yet not completely fragile she roams taking in all life will give her. Testing boundaries at every corner she runs fearless as an untamed mustang. Her soft and cuttling nature is never afraid to let silly, goofiness take over. Our entertaining angel is an outgoing eagle, flying high with joy for the future. Just starting her journey, she sings songs of a great life full of joy and success. This small, sensitive spirit has such an amazing voyage ahead of her full of good works and faith. Adventure will run rhyming with her song. hands of service will be her greatest tool. With a heart of gold and faith to move mountains our Oakley Rain will be and already is an important part of the futures plan. We pray she may stand tall with a perfect knowledge of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. I see great potential and straight in my babies future and when no one else believes in her she can know her mother always will. Let your free spirit fly my wondrous butterfly. Trust the colors of the wind and the song of your heart. Don't forget there are spirit angels that pray for you. A Father and Mother that love you more than life. Live your life with a smile on your face and joy for the future, helping others along the way. Remember where you came form which is a very loving Father/Mother in heaven. Not winning the mother of the year award

Oakley's favorite place to play is in the dirt and with rocks so I was being a cute, fun, mom right beside her. We took off her socks and we were hiding a rock in her sock and we'd laugh about it, dump it out and hide it again. When the game was old we went inside and continued our playing. Lucky for us when Dad got home we got to go out and play as a family. We went and saw the animals and Oakley got to go on her first pony ride. She LOVES animals especially horses and dogs. After about 2 hours of running around looking at different animals and Oakley always running to the horses we went and got dinner and ice cream. Well Caz is lactose so he doesn't do well with ice cream of course, but he loves it. So he said we need to watch Oakley, if she gets upset its probably from the ice cream. Well, on the way home she started screaming. As her mother I knew she was hurting so I climbed into the back seat playing and singing every song and game I could think of. She'd almost laugh then start crying again. I decided to take off her shoes, I couldn't believe she had them on for so long any way she hates her shoes. As i pulled her shoes off she starts screaming bloody murder. I'm thinking your never eating ice cream again kid.. Well needless to say when I pulled the second shoe and sock off I thought I pulled her toes off too, but no it was not her toes but that rock we were playing with earlier. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the rock wasn't the size of a peach seed in her shoe. I mean her foot is only the size of a peach and her shoes were a little big luckly but not that big. She had that stinkin' thing in there for 3 hours. I felt like the worst mom in the whole world and yes I remember her shoe being tougher to put on but never imagined a mountain in her sock.

Vegas

In June we went to Vegas with some of our best friends Jesse and Aubry Johnson. We went to La Reve which was an absolutely amazing water, dancing, swimimng, falling from the sealing show. We had a blast being lazy by the pool, shopping and yes we did gamble which was so much fun. I know call us sinners if you'd like... The best part about the trip was we left babies at home. However, If we knew the monsters we'd come home to we may have thought about it, but then again maybe not. It was so so nice to get away just the two of us and enjoy each other and date again. I truly believe every couple that has kids needs at least a night away every once in a while.

The hunter has returned

Caz went to Canada with his Dad and Brother on a Black Bear hunt. He had fun and loved every minute of it. I don't much care for the black beast he brought home but a boy will be a boy and a hunter will be a HUNTER....

Cowboy up

Last Saturday I went on a photo shoot in the good old country. My friend Mindy form work is a true, blue cowgirl... We always joke Oakley is her adopted grand-baby because she got to see her everyday for nine months. (we worked together) Well they were branding cows and she wanted pictures. It was such a blast. Her family is absolutely hilarious. You can see her two boys in the picture. Well Mindy said she wanted them dressed country in wranglers and cowboy hats. So they went and changed, right! lets just say they bring a whole new meaning to daisy dukes... It was sooooo funny. I can't forget the belly shirts. We laughed so so hard. The best part is Mindy made them rope and brand in their cute LITTLE outfits for some goofy pictures. For their sake I wont post any... Oh, how I wish I lived in the country,country. ( that's not for slut cowboys) She lives on a dirt road at the very end so the only thing around is fields, cows and more Fields. My Dream...LOVE IT....

Little Miss

My baby is growing up so fast. She's a one year old that thinks she's four. I have to say I think I have the cutest baby ever. She's absolutely hilarious. She's just discovered Mom has holes in her nose. Every time I try and snuggle with the little stink I get a little finger up the nose and of course I can't help but laugh which in turn, I get another finger up the nose.

she loves shoes,books and her baby dolls. She tries to carry two dolls around all the time, it really helps with her frankenstien walk... When ever we go anywhere we waves and blows kisses to all the cars passing by. Oh, she's so dang cute...

I did new born pictures last week of this adorable baby boy. I'm so in love with this picture I had to post it on my personal blog. If I had a studio this would be blown up huge. matter of fact I like it so much I would put it in my own living room if my husband wouldn't think I was a stalker. I absolutely love everything about it. Hillary hasn't even seen this cute picture of her and her baby yet so hopefully she doesn't mind me showing the whole world first. xoxoxo

Oakley's first birthday party

I think I may have found my new calling in life....baking goodies. I spent all day from morning until 2 am baking and decorating goodies for Oakley's birthday and I absolutely loved it. Not to mention I think everything was a hit. My cupcakes didn't go like hot potatoes but that's okay. Her cake turned out so fun. Don't you think those pig suckers are so cute. I got that idea from my creative cousins. The chocolates aren't really chocolate it's red cake...
The funniest thing, I'd be doing my thing making frosting and Oakley would come up to me suck on her finger then point it to me, like OK, mom I'm ready for a taste. I was so cute.
We had so much fun being with family and Oakley got spoiled. thanks to everyone that came we love you all.

Party in the Sand...

First time down in the sand was an absolute blast. We had such a good time. Oakley found two new friends Dax, and the dog ( I'm not sure which she likes better). On top of that she loves to eat sand, who would have thought that one....:)I love camping it is so much fun. Being with friends, 4 wheeling and best of all eating hot dogs over the fire. Yum! I can't wait to go again.

Cake #2

Here is the second cake I made for my Father In law. This is the 4th attempt to make this German chocolate cake that turned out amazing. Long long story short. First cake stuck to the pan. Second, I was 4 tbs shy of sugar Caz refilled my jar with salt. yes, I was not happy. Third, it had weird clumps. So needless to say this was a 24 hour cake and I made Caz make the fourth because I was so sick of this stinkin' cake.... I just decorated it and took 2 hours to make the frosting and of course the cute hunter. HAHAHAHA.....Happy Birthday Hunter Greg.

My first fondant cake

In High School I thought decorating cakes would be so much fun. We'll I haven't thought much about it until a week ago. Oakley's first birthday is coming up in a couple week and I want to make her a special cake. So I started looking up ideas online and the same thoughts came to me as they did years ago. Cake decorating would be so fun. Well funny story short, I couldn't stop thinking about making cakes. I have even been dreaming about cakes. I don't really know why but I've been feeling like a little girl in a candy store, so excited to make a CAKE.... I keep thinking of any reason to make a cake. So today I went shopping at Orson Gygi with my mom and lucky for me I got my birthday present early fondant cake baking supplies. wow wow... The best part of it all was making this cake was as much fun as I was thinking it would be. I can't wait to make the next one! heheheh... I'm still giddy......

Oakley's dress.

I never thought I would like sewing. I always thought of it as an old lady hobby. Well, call me an old lady because I love it. My sister and I went and picked out fabric on Saturday afternoon, started sewing around 6:00 and couldn't stop until 1:00 am. The only problem was neither one of us could tell what the heck the pattern instructions were saying.(yes, some of us are challenged) Good thing our Mom was making the same dress for one of our other nieces. The three of us had a blast all sewing together or in other words my mom enjoyed laughing at us... My mom was the only one to finish that night. Rachelle finished Addison's dress Sunday and I finished Oakley's on Monday. It was so much fun doing a project together. Love you guys!
